Thanked: 2First SOTD post, and I'm still a newbie so things can only improve, really!
Most surprising thing: this was with my cheap shave setup kept in my work locker. I guess it was just one of those moments where I attained "shave zen" and everything flowed!
Hot shower (shower in work is better than the one at home, it's amazing!)
Application of nivea moistiuriser
59 pence Palmolive shave stick
£2.95 wilkinson sword shave brush
Single pass with a Timor Blue Steel (nicely honed, thanks Neil Miller)
Hot & Cold rinse
No application of styptic (makes a nice change!)
Nivea moisturiser
4 days growth gone in seconds. Glorious.
Iain.

PS - Welcome to the SOTD, I guess it's good that you've been mauled by a kitten. At least no one will know the difference if you nick yourself! He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Thanked: 146Wednesday
Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
Brush: Thater 4125-2
Scuttle: G5
Soap: Salter French Vetiver/ AOS SC/ Glycerin Uber
Razor: Beau Brummel #18
Post: Proraso AS
Finish: L'Ocittane CADE Balm
Result: The difference in all my razors since honing on the 12k Naniwa is phenomenal, I took all the edges as far as they could go on the Norton 8k, and after getting the 12k it took the edges to the next level! Loving the CADE balm with the Vetiver undertones!
