Btw scales look very similar to Hart Steel razor, if I'm not wrong you also have one

    Prep: Hot shower
Brush: New Forest, 2201 extra stuffed
Razor: Feather RG with pro blade
Soap: Cassis Tea Tree + Lavender
    AS: Ogallala, L&P
    Strops: None
    Result: Uberclean

Result! If I where a pro shaver I would like to have one of these ... One tiny thing though, besides the soul and heart part, it feels like it's a little toe heavy, so I've to compensate slightly for that, when shaving.

.. and my coffee for cappu:

Ha ha. I rescaled it in a copy of my Hart Steel's scales that I made from black walnut, modified the stabilizer, and honed it up. I wouldn't say it shaves as well as the Hart, but close.

    Wow, great work!
As for me scales looks absolutely identical, and if you make it shave ready and close to Hart razor I take my hat off (or how it's right to say))
Than it's very good investment in GD razor

    Thanks, you're too kind.

I should point out, in case any newbies are watching, that my GD is not as good as my Hart Steel and that I have a fair amount of time invested in making it nice. Also, I got lucky in getting a pretty good one. Have fun working on them, but please don't buy one as your first razor.

Another day, another gratuitous shot of the Maxtom... my apologies

Super late night shave here, away from home all day with nothing but a good shave in mind so couldn't wait till the morning.

    Prep: Looong Shower
    Pre: Proraso
    Strop: SRD Premium I
    Razor: 9/8+ Max Sprecher custom
    Brush: Thäter SRP LE (Fan)
    Soap: Tabac Original
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird
    AST: Thayer's

Not much more to say other than 'WOW' - A brilliant shave from the Maxtom - If only I could grow a beard over night so I can repeat the process come morning...

Have a fantastic day gentlemen, keep those shots rolling in!
