    Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Neep, custom coffee bean brush
Razor: Cape, Japanese folding razor for barbers use
Cream: Castle Forbes, Lime + Palmolive stick
    AS: Fonex, Malibu
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very clean

Had to work to get a clean shave today and it's the forth time with Castle Forbes cream. 1. Razor's starting to get dull 2. I can't a decent lather of the CF cream (I _love_ the scent) - I built the lather slowly and stopped when the to dry lather came together and didn't crack/dry up in the scuttle, but as I painted the lather on the face I could see how it died/tried out before I could finish the whole face... What am I doing wrong, same thing has happened four times now? I want to have this soap in my arsenal, the scent is divine! I even had to use my Palmolive stick for the second pass.

... and some coffee, of course:

    Father's Day shave

    Geneva Cutlery Pyramid 7N 5/8
    New Forest 2221
    C&E Sandalwood sc
    Thayers Cucumber WH
    C&E Sandalwood a/s milk
    C&E Sandalwood Edt

Made some Kenyan AA in the French Press and decided to go with my first Geneva blade and a C&E Sandalwood theme. I've had better luck with the C&E cream than I have had with the C&E soap (Nomad) so I had a very nice three pass shave resulting in a damn fine Father's Day shave. Max has a ball game at noon and afterwards I'll have a late lunch/early dinner with Erin (and hopefully Max as well). Sounds like today will be better than yesterday.
    Happy Father's Day!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Omega boar
    Soap: Tabac Original
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: J. A. Hellberg, 4/8 quarter hollow, french point
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Coffee home made splash
Notes: Nice smooth shave, great in every aspect. The coffee splash has had a small revival with me after I discovered Thierry Mugler's A'Men, which is somewhat along these lines. I often let my concoctions be inspired by some fragrance, but in this instance I had not heard of it. Good fun.
