Sorry to hear this Mikael, could it be a water thing? Perhaps try with bottled water to exclude this parameter. Also, I sometimes find some soaps require a lot more water than I'd have thought, try playing around with it a little. I have no doubt you'll crack that mystery

    Jamie,
An outstanding portrayal for a Father's Day SOTD.
Wonderful colors and textures with a minimal amount of gratuitous product embellishment.
    The simplicity is overwhelming.
Hope your day is as enjoyable as the shave, my friend.

    Default Father's Day SOTD

    Great shaves Today, Men

I put together one of my favorite combos for today's shave. Preshave of a Musgo Lime scrub, A Grandsard, Oostberg (Dutch) dealt Rich Herder 9/8 with RazoRock Limited Edtion fluffed up with a newly-restored Black Badger Rubberset brush (Nice!). A super close shave followed by the old Aqua Velva.
Having my Dad and Father-in law over for ribs and sausage this afternoon. Gotta get the meat falling off the bone for all those false teeth!

All you Fathers have a Blest Day and everyone have a GREAT Week to come!

Gentlemen, this is getting out of hand:

I dreamed that once again I was wondering the streets of Vienna — and there's no place like Vienna. Then I was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper at Cafe Dremel; then at Cafe Sacher; and then at Cafe Mozart. Then I woke up, at the usual 4 a.m., and the first thing that came to my mind were the lyrics from "Wien, du Stadt meiner Traume" ("Vienna, City of My Dreams"), the sweet and sentimental song about Vienna, written in 1913 by Rudolf Sieczynski:

Wien, Wien nur du allein, sollst stets die Stadt meiner Traume sein . . .

Oh, yes, this is getting out of hand. Well, here's today's serving in the shave den:

Razor: Korte Brothers 6/8 round point, a little known Solingen razor
Razor: Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" faux ivory
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock "SharpEdge" yellow pack
    Brush: Thater silvertip
    Cream: St. James of London
    Pre-shave: Edwin Jagger
    Scuttle: Schwarzweisskeramik
    Alum
    Witch hazel
    Balm: Trumper's Coral Skin Food
Aftershave: Truefitt & Hill Spanish Leather
Music: Elizabeth Schwarzkopf singing Viennese songs, including "Wien, du Stadt meiner Traume"
Finisher: A blend of Columbia and Peru Chirinos coffees, and The New Yorker.

Starting Father's Day with sweet memories of Vienna.

Cheers brother! I'll try and use more water, but we've the softest water around and in general it's a childs play to whip up nice lather here (from good soaps and creams, of course). We'll see if I crack it, I did use it in three different ways the first three times. It's strange though, I've never read a bad line about this cream...
