Thanked: 146Thursday
Prep: Warm shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
Brush: Thater 4125-2
Scuttle: G5
Soap: MNS Lemongrass Eucalyptus
Razor: Charlex #60
Post: Proraso AS/ Nivea Lotion
Result: My latest razor, just came in last night and I wanted to see if it would shave before investing more time. Took it to the Norton 1k and set the bevel with 3 layers of tape, had to remove some micro-chipping, removed the tape, set the bevel and went to the 4/8k stone, wrapped up with the Naniwa 12k and slurry diluted down to water. Stropped it up and Hooorah! BBS and off to work, the edge was slightly harsh and will need to be dialed in a bit more, but I really love this blade, slight smile and great feedback from the hollow grind. Looks like I'll be unpinning this one and giving it some love...
Speaking of love, I am a lucky, lucky man. Today is my 27th wedding anniversary! I am so fortunate, my girl is the best!
Have a Great Thursday Gents!

Thanked: 1072First Shave in 13 Days
Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
Brush: Frank's Shaving Fine Badger
Uber: Proraso Soap, Faulding Cream, Glycerin
Razor: Wade & Butcher For Barbers Only 7/8
Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
Balm: Nivea Replenishing
A/S: Aqua Velva Ice Blue
My last shave was Sunday last week,(just felt like lookin' scruffy) and this is the thickest I've ever let my beard get.
I was missing shaving too much though so it had to go. I did leave a goatee, not sure if I like it or not.
I'll probably keep it for a few days and then get rid of it.
The Uber was perfect, and the W&B performed flawlessly. A great shave.
Here's a before and after the shave
Thanks for the great posts and pics boys.

Thursday, June 28 Prep: Hot Shower Razor: H. Boker "Edelweiss" Lather: SRD Opus X Brush: Thater 2 Band Post: Alum + Clubman Result: DFS
For some reason, I've always struggled to bowl lather the SRD soaps. Given that, I always reside myself to face lather with them. I often forget how enjoyable a face lather really is, especially with this Thater bulb. The wife is going on a work-related boat excursion, which will keep her out of the house until 10pm-ish... so that will grant me some quality time with the hones this evening to finally ready my recent purchases (W&B, Torrey, and Frederick Reynolds), thought the Reynolds needs some resto work before I'll hone it.
