Today I used my Maxterpiece the first time.
It was a pleasure to me to pick up this razor directly in Las Vegas.
Thanks to Max for the warm welcome and the few hours we talked about god and the world and straightrazors.
I hope, I'll find the right one "ambiente" for the Maxterpiece-picture today. As you know, I report about my trip every day at my facebook-site.

    Have a nice day, friends.

    Razor: Jones Mfg Co, Chicago
    Brush: Unknown Boar
    Soap: RazoRock Don Marco
    AS: Thayers Lavender and Brut
    Cologne: Brut

No pic today as my wifi has been spotty at best today. This is the second day in a row that I have used the Jones because I'm testing out a Hindostan hone that I found at the antique store on Friday. Great edge, sharp and smooth. As far as the soap, I'm getting more and more impressed every time I use one of the RazoRock La Famiglia line. Great soaps with great scents. Have a great week everyone.

A lovely shave, lovelier becuase this was the first shave with a razor that I personally honed from the bevel up to 12K. BBS all the way, an a fantastic way to prepare for church service.

    Sunday Shave.

Cool Shower, Stephan's, Oil rubbed into the whiskers.
    Dirty bird Scuttle
    Badger brush
Wade and Butcher Celebrated, 5/8, full hollow, Barbers Notch
    Razorock Aluminum
    Stephan's Island Lime
    Vaseline For men.

Silents, great job on that razor. The scales are gorgeous.

Today's razor was my first vintage purchase several years ago. It was originally honed by a gentleman who did a nice job. Since it was my second razor and I did much learning on it, I kinda tortured it. I looked at the edge a few months ago and noticed it has a couple small chips in the bevel. Today I removed the chips, set the bevel and took it through to the strop.
The edge was buttery smooth and I had a nice shave which eventually relaxed me. My youngest daughter was testing my patience today and although I kept cool, I was wound up like a clock. Folks who have daughters understand.

This was the start of a nice relaxing evening since she went to the Yankee/met game with the moron.

    Enjoy!!

I'm still ordered off the shaving train but I snuck one in today. 3 pass shave with the Penhaligans Uber was fantastic. My new SRP Bulb(thanks Lynn!) performed as perfect as they advertize. Tom Ford Italian Cypress? Amazing!
