Glauchau was divided because the Russians also liberated Glauchau. Nearby my home there was the border between the Americans and the Red Army.

In 1946 my mother married my father and they got 3 children. My father survived the war even though he did a dangerous job during the war- he was a mine-sweeper. The English Army sent him home...no prisoner of war...he was to young.

    Thanks Mom!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your mom Tom! Great story. I see your profile has changed to a willys jeep.

Default Sun September 30th - Sat October 06th

Location: Huntsville, Alabama (Heart of Dixie)
    Pre: Hot Shower
Strop: 3" black latigo bench top
    Soap: RazoRock XXX
Brush: AOS silvertip (my first brush, a gift from my wonderful wife)
    Scuttle: SWK XL (white)
    Razor: Sears 1865
    Post: Dickenson's Witch Hazel
    AS: Clubman Vanilla

I was up the better part of the night in the operating room. Didn't get much sleep and have a busy day ahead of me. Thought it would be a quick shave and then to office -- but then slowed down and enjoyed the quiet, peaceful morning! I just love the scent of the RazorRock XXX and the Sears is a "fun" little razor to use. Used my AOS silvertip. My wife gave it to me last Christmas, and it "started it all" (I think she really regrets it now!!! ). Two passes, and then off to the hospital. I'm awaiting a restored W&B "Maxterpiece," so this will probably be my last shave before it arrives.

    Have a great weekend!!!Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349437268.065949.jpg
