    sharp and Geezer like this.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

When I was in school we had a guest lecturer come by. She was an anthropologist. She did an ethnography about strippers and their relationship with the clients. Her research methodology was participant/observer. So yeah she did some stripping. She was also sexy. So not someone you would see on a Wednesday afternoon. As you could imagine I do not remember a thing she said. I just imagined her swirling around a brass pole and spinning her lovely blonde locks of hair around while an AC/DC blared in the background. Why do they always play AC/DC? Apologies for the non-family friendly topic but anyway. Not that I have ever been a patron in such an establishment either.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: 1960 Gillette Fatboy
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Arko Shavestick
    AS: Skin Bracer
    Finish: Classic Match (C.K. Obsession)

Inexplicably I just felt like a safety razor shave this morning. Since nobody does it better, the Fatboy got the call, great shave too!

Far too busy for a pic today, but here was my shave:

    Razor: Fontana
    Soap: Jabonman Lima-Mentolado
    Brush: Thater Bulb 2011 LE
    AS: Lucido
    EdT: Vintage Antaeus

    Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: Thiers Issard 7/8, blonde horn
    Brush: Semogue 610
    Soap: C&E Sienna
    A/S: C&E Sienna A/S Balm

Result: This has become my favorite soap. Not that I have tried that many, but I have learned that I prefer tallow based soaps over glycerin based soaps, though I use both. Had a very good shave, and now back to work. Have an awesome Wednesday, gentlemen.

Thank you! This is one of five C-MON straight razors that I own and use regularly... and my favorite one of the bunch. Everything about it is "perfect": its 11/16" size, quarter-hollow grind, heft, French point, and scales are all in such sublime accord that if I had to choose but one razor for that oft-spoken-of "desert island", it would be this one.

It's "brother" razors (HF, Blackie, Special, and Wedge) will be featured in upcoming SOTD postings, so... stay-tuned!
