I'm told by people that know such things that every "native folk dancing" establishment the world over is required to have the following music
    AC/DC- The Greatest Hits
    Motley Crue- Girls, Girls, Girls
Def Leppard- Pour Some Sugar on Me

Of course, I can't confirm this fact because I've never frequented such tawdry establishments

She was hot. Of course she was not English. Just kidding. She did not have an accent so I assumed she was from the States.

Another early day this week as I'm off to catch a train to New York for business. I don't anticipate time to post SOTDs from the Big Apple the next two days, but suffice it to say this is the travel kit I'll be working with while I am there. It's been an amazing week filled with remarkable shaves from you all! Thank you for sharing and for allowing me to post my very humble shaves alongside all of yours!

    Thursday

Funny story today, there I was, standing in front of the mirror, shaving, and thinking to myself “I’m getting quite good at this actually, if I do say so myself, maybe I should make a video” and the next thing I said was “Oh f***” as I cut myself. Not worthy of the Cut Of the Day thread, but bloody nevertheless. Actually, I think I should have added more water to the cream, O Melhor soaks up water until the cows come home.

Tunes to drive to work was a rapid progression from Ben Harper to Bob Marley to Led Zeppelin (Physical Graffiti, side 3 and 4), finishing with AM radio talking about Syria and Turkey. May God protect them and may God have mercy on their souls.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: 1960 Gillette Super Speed
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Clearly Natural Honeysuckle
    AS: Skin Bracer
Finish: G'eau (an Acqua Di Gio knock-off)

Even though the Fatboy is a bit flashier, there's certainly nothing wrong with this Super Speed. Thanks to some brassing, it's certainly not the prettiest girl at the dance but it seems to deliver pretty consistently close shaves. Looks as if I may be starting graduate school after the first of the year. I'd like to think that in a couple years, I'll be able to ditch my current job, show up on the campus of one of the local universities a couple days a week to teach some freshman English or survey literature class and begin work on the great American novel.

    Default Thurday 10-4-12

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Brush: Thater 4125-2
    Scuttle: G5
    Soap: Proraso Red
    Razor: Brummel Werk 'Wedge'
Post: Hot Water rinse, Cold Water Splash, Every Man Jack Lotion
Result: The alarm woke me up...this never happens. The usual routine, jumped in the shower, out and normally I will rub in some Proraso pre shave. Today my befogged brain skipped this fact until I was halfway through putting lather on my face, so I just rubbed the lather in good and stropped the razor, and relathered. The proraso lathered up with its usual ease and 3 passes later I was BBS and headed out the door!

I am finishing up a project at work, so hopefully I can devote more time to some pics! You guys have outdone yourselves as Max pointed out.

What an amazing shave today. One pass wiped me clean and the second sucked the roots out. Seriously BBS! Joseph Rodgers are fantastic razors.

Bill have a safe trip to NY!
