    SOTD OCTOBER 4th
    Donnerstag

    Hot shower prep"
Razor: W.H.Morley and Sons "GERMANY" CLOVER BRAND 1913-1927
    Soap: Al's Bomb "CALYPSO"
    Mug: Soup Cup
    Brush: BARBERSHOP
    Aftershock:none
    Splash: #4711

A simple and comfortable shave. Since the weather is at the verge of inclement, I decided to up the voltage of my soap and splash. Al's is always a good choice and my body chemistry makes it a good call for those around me. There is also a reason that #4711 has been around for a couple hundred years

W.H.Morley was a company that existed in all the European countries of the time and in America. The quality of the blade steel is excellent and a good edge will last a long time
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    PS. Wikipedia footnote
The German Navy during World War II issued vast amounts of 4711 perfume to the submariners of the U-Boat fleet. As there were limited facilities and few opportunities for bathing, the scent was to be used in an attempt to improve the odour aboard the vessel. Crew members typically didn't use much of it and would take home bottles as presents for mothers, wives, or girlfriends.[15]

    Razor: 6/8 Hart Steel
    Brush: AOS Fine Badger
    Cream: Spencer & Devon Sagebrush
A/S: cold water rinse, AOS Sandalwood Balm

Result: This Hart is hard, but not harsh, and has found a place in my heart. I hardly felt it on my face, and suffered no shaving harm. I have no reason to harp on this razor. I feel so har-har.

It was suppose to be a farewell shave before I put it up for sale since I hadn't shaved with it in a long while. But the darn thing said "hey, I can shave just as well as the old guys!" So.....I guess it will stay. Fantastic shave.

I need a clean face today. It is my mothers 85th birthday.

When she was 17 years old she lost her left arm by an accident.
In 1945 the US-Army liberated parts of Glauchau and she got some offers to go to USA with them. She doesn't do so.

Glauchau was divided because the Russians also liberated Glauchau. Nearby my home there was the border between the Americans and the Red Army.

In 1946 my mother married my father and they got 3 children. My father survived the war even though he did a dangerous job during the war- he was a mine-sweeper. The English Army sent him home...no prisoner of war...he was to young.

    Thanks Mom!
