    Default A Pleasant Routine

    Hi Fellas,

This morning was another of what is fast becoming my usual shave:
A dozen laps on the Illinois 361 with a Dovo stainless #41 with plastic *"Pearlex" *scales (nicked the strop!)
Three or four splashes of very warm water on my sleepy face
Lather up with warm water right on *top of a puck of William's nestled in a blue tin cup with a black plastic handled AoS pure bager brush.
One with-the-grain pass; relather; another across-the-grain pass.
    Warm water rinse
Three squirts of unscented AoS Aftershave Balm into my palm, then lightly rubbed over my now-smiling face
One very light spray of RSVP Eau de Cologne across my neck&shoulder.

A lot can be said for a pleasant, comfortable routine, but I'll just say, "Ahhh!"

By the way, I've enjoyed all of the photos you guys have shared this week. It prompted me to dig out my Canon SLR and charge it up.

    Saturday

Saturday is normally DE day but today I wanted the Jernbolaget. Nice smooth edge on this razor and I love the shape. The pivot has loosened a little, and I don’t like a loose pivot. I can’t seem to tighten the pivot pin, normally I just do a lot of really light taps with a hammer on the pin, cruse I know…

The C O Bigalow gets used maybe once in every couple of months now I use more natural products. It’s fresh invigorating feel and scent were well matched with the Floïd. Just the day for them.

I’ve just completed trimming the ivy hedge on a beautiful spring day. The purple wisteria that entirely covers my shed is flowering like crazy, the parrots are swimming low through the air, the sun is shining brightly and Bailey my grandson is coming around for a visit. Thank God for this day.

Great shaves and photos this week guys, I’ve really enjoyed seeing them all, I’m especially liking the close up extremely narrow DOF shots. Have a nice weekend.

    Carl
