Thanked: 3228Pre - Alum block
Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
Soap - Arko+Kaloderms with 6 drops glycerine and 1 drop lanolin
Scuttle - Robert Becker
Razor - Edward Smiths "Celebrated Hollow Ground"
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel
Another razor touched up on a Zulu Grey and the edge improved. Smooth close shave. First time using Arko in an uber lather and paired with the Kaloderma was an excellent combo. Have a good one too.

Hot shower prep
Soap: C.O. Bigelow
Mug: Soup Cup
Brush: vintage RUBBER SET
Razor: JOHN JAY
Aftershock: alum block
Splash: vintage Mennen “Skin Bracer”
Today: a gorgeous day in the morn! The Shave: The John Jay is a very good shaver and the edge improves the more it is used and stropped. Today a nice shave in two an a touch. The other players known for good performance.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

Saturday 22nd December
Hot shower and Facial Scrub
Somersets Shave Oil
Kai Captain Excelia (Japanese Style)
Semogue Caravela
Nannys Nutmeg Spice
Lucky Tiger AS/Toner
Organic Shea Butter
James Bronnley Gentlemans EDT
Morgans Classic Pomade
A conversation tonight reminded me of the Excelia.....which I have not used for a while. Tonight I had a fantastic 2 pass BBS. I think the fact that I use traditional straights helps the technique, and I keep getting more and more shaves from the blades.Brian

There is always a solution, whether it's already present or if you have to make it.
