I am still fine tuning my blade prep so the GD 66 is getting a lot of use recently. 40 laps on felt, followed by 50 on Latigo and 40 on English Bridle. I had a lovely 3 pass shave. Could have stopped at 2 passes, but I was enjoying the shave so much....I carried on.

Pre: Hot Shower, 10 Linen, 15 Leather
Razor: Hart 6/8" Square Tip w/Rosewood
Brush: Simpson Major Travel Brush Super Badger
    Scuttle: None
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Cold water and Alum
    Aftershave: Proraso White

Back to the parents for the Holidays. I thought I would actually bring a setup since I will be here for a bit. Finally breaking out the puck of williams I bought a couple weeks back. Lathered super nice and easy and held up for a single pass. The brush had at least a second pass still in it when I cleaned her. It may be because I am on top of some of the softest water I know of but I see no problem with the $1.50 soap. It is a good bit slicker than my other soaps but less cushion. Over all I had a good shave with no nicks and tad of irritation at the ol' adams apple.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

    TUESDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Soap: Tet-A-Tet (Russ)
    Mug: soup
    Brush: Generic boar
    Razor: Iskra D.E. (Russ)
Blades: Feather stainless / Gillette stainless
    Aftershock: none
    Splash: Don Juan (Russ)

Today: Bright, a bit dreary as the sun is behind scudding clouds. The Shave: The Tet-A-Tet is great as both a nice lather and good protection to my face. The splash is very earthy and a good match to my body chemistry,

The ISKRA Razor. I had to try one!! I started the shave with a Feather Blade and the razor allowed it to flex; that is not something I want against my face! I then switched to a Gillette stainless which is stiffer. That improved the shave a lot. This is a razor which is to be used with no pressure!!!! It seemed to me to be aggressive without the needed control. The blade corners are a bit exposed and I was not sure whether it was the sharp corners of the razor head or the blade which gave me pause many times. It would be a razor waaayyyy down on my rotation!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!
