    Prep L'Occitane Cedarwood Soap
    Razor Dubl Duck Goldedge 6/8
    Strop Kanayama Cordovan #8000
Brush Semogue OC Special Edition 2012
    Mitchell's Woolfat
    Alum & Witch Hazel
    Una Brennan Neroli Moisturiser
Tom Ford Black Orchid Eau de parfum

A fantastic close smooth Christmas eve shave for me, no shave on Christmas day as I'm the cook and the Mother inlaw is down for dinner, first run out for the Semogue must say I'm very impressed with the brush, and she's a looker as well.

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Haryali London Silvertip
Razor: Dubl Duck Satin Wedge (blonde horn scales)
    Soap/Cream: Truefitt & Hill 1805 (sample)
AS: Trufitt & Hill 1805 balm (sample)
    strop: SRD 2" black latigo/nylon
    Result: BBS w/4 cuts

This is the first quarter-hollow I've tried and first time shaving with it. Compared to the full-hollows I have been using, it feels like a serious piece of metal. The confidence for faster strokes that it inspires accounts as much for the excellent results as well as the 4 cuts that I didn't even feel or know I had until they were bleeding everywhere. The T&F 1805 shave cream is nice and the balm is quite good, although I still prefer the Grafton, thus far...

    Christmas Eve

    Hot shower and Facial Scrub
    Vitos Pre/Post cream
    GD #300 6/8 razor
    Semogue 2000 Brush
    Jolly Executive Shave Cream
    Simply Toner
    Organic Shea butter
    Pashana Bay Rum
    Black & White Pomade
    Mr Kings Marvellous Moustache Wax

This was supposed to be a maintenance shave, but I managed a DFS+ with 2 passes. A great start to the Christmas week....even though I appear to be working most of it!

I'm going to miss him very much. He always was there for us and gave us good advice in life. Born in the very late 30's he never owned a straight nor had ever shaved with one. His first was a DE from the mid-50's. He finished with some Gillette thing with 3 blades.
I couldn't think of any better blade than the v.d. Sanden for my first shave after this. A great shave to honour one of the strongest men in my life. Both in willpower and in mindset. Dad, I'm genuinely going to miss you.
My deepest condolences, sounds like a fine man to me!!
