Sunday - In the wee small hours of the morning
    Hot water prep
Wade & Butcher 8/8 FBU spike - TOBS Sandalwood sc - New Forest HMB brush - cold water splash - Thayers green resplash - Truefitt & Hill 1805 asb - hot towel - Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco AdC

Shaving at one at night. Nothing can beat that. The whole house is quiet; the bathroom filled with the scent of sandalwood and the W&B stropped and ready. A great, relaxing shave supported softly by the tunes of Blue Mitchell on the trumpet (Step Lightly; 1963). Two passes to smoothness and a mental win over the cold that's been bugging me for the past three days. Here's to a great week of shaves.

    Razor – Le Jaguar
    Brush – SABA
Soap – Sage & Daisy Heliotrope and mint glycerin
    AST – ALUM
    AS – HESS Sweet Pea

A very close comfortable shave was accomplished with the Le Jaguar this morning. 7 passes on the oil stone below produced a smooth sharp edge. There was no reason to strop. Have a nice week of shaves gentlemen.

Default Shave of the day - Le rasage du jour - du 6 janvier au 12 janvier 3013

A clean shave with an Ali Custom wedge, but I tried a poor mix of soap : regarding the price of the Penhaligon's soap, I didn't want to throw it into the trash (regarding that it's the worth soap I ever used, and considering the price it's a GREAT shame for a well known luxuous perfumer as Penhaligon's) so I tried to mix it with a standart french soap named "altesse", with a big lathering power, mixed result : what a Fuego ! My face was really red, but the whiskers gone away !

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
    Soap - Kaloderma tube cream
Razor - DD No.1 Special, not rescaled
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Chalk up another cold water face lathered shave. A very, very good smooth and close one at that. Somehow I wound up with 2 DD No.1 Specials and I'll bag more as they show up locally. Enjoy your Sunday and have a good one.

No shave today, but I must say that you gentlemen are starting out the new year in grand style!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
