Shave prep Evening shave, just a hot splash of water on my face
    Brush: D.R. Harris
    Preshave: Proraso Pre
    Soap: Martin De Candre
    Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
    Razor: Wacker ANTIK 6/8
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 60+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm

    Notes:
The Wacker needed a honing and a few laps on Norton 4/8k followed by a few on the Naniwa 12k did it.

As the Antik blade itself is a little warped, it’s always an asymmetrical honing progress. To get a grip on the progress I used the black marker to ‘see’ what happened on the first laps.

In the end I got it back in action. Five strokes on Cr2O pasted balsa most of the times brings it to a smooth enough edge for me. Then 20/60 canvas/leather stropping and it popped arm hair like wiping them off with a towel.

Test shave wasn’t a test really it was a complete shave with a sticky smooth result.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
Soap - Palmolive tube cream face lathered
Razor - No name 5/8 shoulderless full hollow
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Silky smooth and close cold water face lathered shave from a razor whose maker is not visible anywhere on the blade, not even country of origin. I don't think I could get a better shave with a full blown custom razor. First time using Palmolive cream on it's own and not in an uber lather and it works well, love the scent. I can't kid myself any longer about my favourite brush either as I constantly now reach for the SOC 2 band badger. Hope your shave goes as well also.

You're welcome. I always enjoy some good jazz while I shave. It has become more or less a ritual. Glad you like it.
