Strop - Marshall Wells "Zenith" 2 inch Cordovan/canvas
Razor - Cameron Cutlers Edinburgh "Silver King" 1/4 hollow 6/8
Brush - Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian badger
Soap - Tabac puck
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel
Nice cold water face lathered shave on this relatively balmy -13c morning. Love the Cordovan and canvas of the strop but just hate the 2 inch width having been spoiled by my original 3 inch strop. Starting to prefer full hollows over heavier grinds. Have a good weekend.

I don't normally do three pass straight razor shaves but this morning was the exception. It seems that since school started, time where I'm just relaxing and resting my brain doing something enjoyable are pretty rare. I wasn't ready for the shave to be over so I lathered up a third time. The result, naturally, was a catfish belly smooth shave.The older I get, the better I was

well my last SOTD i think i was just getting sick ..lol.. well this SOTD post tops it off with being stuck in the hospital with Pneumonia and Influenza A but i managed to talk my x into bringing me up some cream , a blade , and a razor ...
more details in the result..
pre=NONE
cream=PRORASO (sandalwood )
brush= PURE PAPER TOWEL & FINGERS ...
razor= GILLETTE TECH TRAVEL ( Dorco blade , already 2 shaves on it )
post=NONE
result= well my lather was terrible , first swipe did nothing , had to keep breaking it done with water and hands on my long stubbles ..
after a quick splash of hot water on my already Proraso covered face and some swift circular motions with my hands i was able to get an ok lather ..
2 passes WTG , then 1 pass XTG , and a final 1 pass WTG i was able to get shave that i would normally get on 1 pass had i had a good lather and a sharp blade ... it was a not comfortable shave as ive been spoiled with all my stuff at home but in the end i looked good ! smelled good ! had no irritation ! and had a long conversation with my nurse about wet shaving when she came in and saw my razor sitting there ...lol..
