This razor is the most recent addition to my collection. I found it a couple of weeks ago and gave it a light restoration http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...tore-ever.html.
I thought honing was going to be a nightmare due to a considerable warp in the spine.
However it was one of the quickest, easiest hone jobs I've done. The edge and spine were both equally warped, and I used my narrow BBW & Coti to do most of the work.
The resulting shave was amazing, sharp smooth and quiet.
Got me BBS in 2 passes.

Although it looks pretty wedgy, I was surprised how small the bevels turned out, no tape used with honing either.

this is officially last nights shave but i missed the deadline for last weeks SOTD
had a set of scales from a Friodur 6/8 that just wouldnt fit right , one scale smaller then the other .. so my first ebay purchase was a older Boker with cracked scales ... hhhmmmm sand down Friodur scales , remove logo , insert 5/8 Boker , hone , and shave away ...

Also received a Gillette Tech travel today , so the combo shaves continue !!

    BRUSH= PURE BLACK BADGER
    RAZOR(s)

    2) GILLETTE TECH TRAVEL (Dorco Platinum Blade)
    post shave= nothing
one razor per side of face , same results as far quality of shave , finished both sides ATG with the DE

Razor – John Heiffor – Made for the Army
    Brush – Simpson Chubby#2
    Soap – GADA
    AST – ALUM
    AS – D.R. Harris Sandalwood

This razor was the result of a montage of restoration efforts from Pixelfixed’s scale material to Dirtychromes handle making to Geezers washers and my restoration and honing of the blade. All came together for this beauty.
The GADA shave cream is from Syria, and is outstanding. The Schwarzweisskeramik scuttle gets filled with water and microwaved for 3min. Prepare beard with a lather and hot towel face wrap, followed by….MORE HOT LATHER.. I always use too much.. I am clean shavin happy.

this feels nice on a cold morning..
