Thanked: 3Sun - January 20th - Sat January 26th
Good morning y'all. It seems the winter blast has caught many of you, and I hope you're keeping warm and safe.
Today's shave was my first shave with a vintage razor that was sold as "shave ready." Well, as you may have figured out, it wasn't quite shave ready. So, just a single pass and tomorrow's shave will have to remove what will be an extra day's growth.
Prep - hot shower
Razor - Dorko Premier, 7/8
Strop - Alex Jacques designed bridle
Soap - Omega cream
Brush - Shavemac, D01 silvertip
Post - styptic pencil, cold water, Kiehl's lotion
EDT - bond no.9, Wall Street
Have a great day y'all!

Voleman, welcome to the SOTD brotherhood. Looks like you are well on your way!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Pre: Hot Shower, 15 Linen, 15 Leather
Razor: Joseph Rodgers 13/16" Barber's Notch w/Ivory
Brush: TI Super Badger w/ Black Horn
Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
Soap/Cream: MWF
Post: Cold water and Alum
Aftershave: Proraso
Well I took the new blade for a test drive and that baby was shave ready... not up to the level I want but still did the job. Smooth shave and no irritation. Might run it a few licks on the welsh purple. Really liking this big ol' wedge. Got it for a decent price too. Proraso today as I am not lined up for a night with a lady friend.
Happy Shaving.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
