Prep - Basin of hot water + shave towel
Pre-Shave - Musgo Real Lime
Brush - "Greenie" my Dad's old brush
Soap - Col. Conk
Mug - Grandpa's old mug
Razor - 6/8+ Kolso hollow w/ aluminum scales
Post - Thayers and then Nivea balm
A good shave, the Kolso has never given me a bad one. Nearing the end of the last puck of Col. Conk in my 4 pack gift set. Not that bad of a soap, seems like it doesn't last as long as other soaps. Also, three generations of wet shaving gear pictured

Up bright and early this morning so apparently I can post the morning shave, actually in the morning. Cold this morning (mid 40's) I'm real tempted to call in a snow day. But I'm sure winter will be over some time after lunch.Last edited by 1OldGI; 01-24-2013 at 11:35 AM.

Shave prep Morning shave, so a hot shower
Brush: D.R. Harris
Preshave: Proraso Pre
Soap: Castle Forbes Lime
Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
Razor: Wade & butcher 7/8
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 60+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm
Notes:
Just this week read this older thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...rl-can-do.html
So I thought to give the one-pass ATG a go, although with a super smooth W&B and the cushion of Castle Forbes. Well it turned out that strictly speaking it was more than one pass, but the first pass was definitely ATG!
Don’t think I would have done that on my all time first shave…
All went well and I have been face rubbing all morning

Lovely cold water face lathered shave on this -20c morning. This is a razor whose blade I find the most aesthetically pleasing of all my razors.
Enjoy your day
Bob
OOOPs lets make that a -30c morning.
