    WEDNESDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Soap: VdH + glycerin
    Mug: Cup and lather bowl
    Brush: Barbershop boar
    Razor: Merkur Slant...package; Bakelite ?
    Blade: Personna LAB blue pack
    Splash: Don Juan

Today: Overcast and snow flurries. Just getting sunny!!! The Shave: A very close shave in two lathers! The razor operates from very aggressive to very smooth. The shave angle is all with this razor! The hump on the cap is for a reason; low blade angle! VdH is, as usual, my go to for testing a new razor!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    Happy "over the hump" day!!

    Can anyone date the razor?

Man, I gotta long way to go with honing. Of course, maybe the half hollow grind suits me better. I am just trying to repair my damaged ego a bit. Anyway, a first for the QCS, good soap as far as the lather. The smell was nothing to write home about.

    Wednesday 23rd january

    Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
    Vitos Pre/Post Cream
Union Cutlery Expert Barber 400 4/8 spike point
    Semogue TSN LE 2012 Badger/Boar
    Nannys Forest of Norway Soap
    Alum Block
    Organic Shea Butter
    Clubman Classic Vanilla AS
    Morgans Classic Pomade
    Brian's Own (Moustache Wax)

The razor today was a Whipped Dog 'Sight Unseen'. I am rather pleased with what I got, although the blade is a little smaller than what I would normally choose. Three passes to give a very nice comfortable shave. This is a razor which I intend to use to practise my honing skills.

    Wednesday evening
    Hot water prep
Greaves & sons hollow ground razor - L'Occitane CADE sc - Barbershop badger brush - cold water splash - Thayers Green witch hazel - Truefitt & Hill asb - hot towel - Pitralon NOS 60's as

A shave for the books. Total relaxation and a freshly touched up razor to leave me totally clean in two passes and my most biting after shave hardly leaving a sting... Oh, the joy. This must be a top ten shave for me. The Pitralon is an alcohol heavy after shave for real men of the 60's and I got only the slightest tingling sensation. The Greaves & sons has delivered... The CADE cream is not cheap, but it gets the job done. No lather drying out here. All the elements came together to deliver a superb shave. Didn't need the witch hazel nor the balm, but just used it for pampering.
Thanks for the great shaves this week gents. I'm enjoying every single one of them.

    Wednesday:

Razor - 7/8 Dorko with Blond Buffalo horn scales
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 3 best
    Soap - D.R. Harris - Arlington
    AS - D.R. Harris - Arlington milk

First time using D.R. Harris and I loved it. I face lathered and had a ton of lather left in the brush after the 3rd pass. Very slick and great scent!! It will be a regular in my rotation.
