I really hate winter - cold, snow and ice. Every year I get more determined to move south for good.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Razor - Geo Wostenholm & Son "Peerless" 5/8 spike
Brush - Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian badger
    Soap - MWF
Post - Alum block followes with Thayers witch hazel.

Crisp and clean cold water face lathered shave on this -14c and snowy morning. Finally got a break from the -30c morning temps. Been working on this Wosty a bit here and there and finally it is shaving very smoothly, it was sharp and harsh before. A bit at a time on the Zulu Grey put the smooth into her. Have a good one.

    Default Sun - January 20th - Sat January 26th

Good morning y'all! I hope everyone has had a safe and warm week. Today's shave was with a Sheffield steel shaver that wasn't quite dialed in, so I only have it one pass, then used my iKon razor for a second pass...and voila, BBS! Complicating things was my brush soap combo; I don't think the Semogue is as good with soap as it is with cream and face lathering...no matter, still BBS!

    Prep - hot shower
    Brush - SOC SE 2012
    Soap - DR Harris, Windsor
Razor - Tally Ho, 7/8, wedge (1 pass)
Razor - iKon Safety Razor; Merkur blade
Post - cold water, styptic pencil
    EDT - Creed, Millesime Imperial

    That made me chuckle.

It's cold here too. That's why I have a beard and no shave today.

After yesterdays debacle, this shave went great. I tried Feather DE blades for the first time and it did not go so well-really bad razor burn on my neck. I want to try them again in a different DE. I was using an old Gillette TTO with a lot of heft. Maybe a lighter one or the adjustable thing o' majig might be more feasible. Anyway, great shave today.
