Thanked: 485Monday
Average shave with the Klas Törnblom today. This razor needs a hone as well as a polish. I’ve never actually polished my razors before, only an actually light restore with wet and dry. I’ll need to research what sort of polish that’s available here in Australia might be suitable.
Boring day today; nothing to really talk about. Did yoga with Bailey yesterday, he called it ‘yoghurt’. You need to pronounce ‘yoghurt’ as we South Australian’s do; with a long ‘o’ as in ‘yowgurt’ to get the link between it and yoga.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Shave prep Evening shave, just a hot splash of water on my face
Brush: D.R. Harris
Preshave: Proraso Pre
Soap: Martin De Candre
Scuttle: Simple soup bowl
Razor: Filarmonica DT #14
Strop: Kanayama 20 canvas strokes and 60+ strokes on the leather
After Shave Splash: Nivea aftershave Balm
Notes:
Kept the number of strokes down as the DT#14 is always killer sharp and it more than once ruined my face!
MDC certainly limited the ‘damage’ to only a couple of weepers. A smooth shave nonetheless.

Hot Shower, Ice Water Splash, 1960 Fat Boy, Semogue 1305, Tabac Shavestick, Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
You know, Tabac was on my try list for the better part of 5 years, now I'm really kicking myself for not trying it sooner, it really is the real deal. I like it a lot. My other amazing discovery is Dorco Stainless Steel Blades. I can get a box of 10 for $2 and change at a place down by work. Really nice! The older I get, the better I was

This was the maiden voyage for a new brush made by our own Joe Somebody. If he keeps demonstrating craftsmanship of this caliber, though, he might just make a name for himself someday!
The brush and stand are both in bog oak (if I'm not mistaken). Joe turned the handle, and demonstrated a very smooth hand in doing so. The proportions are very nice and it fits in the hand well. The badger knot is set a bit shorter (I don't actually have anything here at the house to measure the loft), which meant it worked very nicely for the Windsor soap I used to break it in this morning. It performed flawlessly and led to a wonderful holiday morning shave with the Revisor. Finished everything off with some Chanel Coromandel, and I'm off to the office to enjoy the "day off..."
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
