    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Norvell-Shapleigh “Diamond Edge” ~1917 a relieved wedge
    Soap: Rose of Bulgaria
    Mug: English
    Brush: vintage Austrian boar
    Aftershock:
    Splash: Rose by HESS

    The day: overcast ~4ºC. The Shave: An outing for another blade from the shop. It will need tweaking but gave a good shve. The Rose from Bulgaria is a lather making treat!
    The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    “Relieved Wedge” is the only way i can describe the razor grind with the Fuller on each side of the blade for lightness.

    That was done vertically... I did not slip the blade horizontally, just pushed the blade into my cheek straight away

    I was almost sleeping when I shaved this morning...

    Hot water prep
    Joseph Rodgers & sons razor - Barbershop badger brush - Harris Lavender ss - cold water splash - Thayer's Rose witch hazel resplash - shower - AK 1869 AdC


    The Rodgers also got a small touch-up on the Thuri. An amazing blade. Always a smooth shave. I experimented a bit today with lather thickness and re-lathering in between. Finally starting to get the hang of this soap. It likes water.
