Beautiful storage cabinet, was it custom made or was it originally a watch storage?

Prep: 4 mile run, hot shower
Razor: C.S. Bresnick Vesuvius Grim Reaper
    Strop: SRD Prem. I
    Brush: Semogue Boar 610
    Soap: RazoRock Don Marco
A/S: Broken Chunk of Alum Block, Nancy Boy Signature Aftershave Gel

Result: This little razor holds an incredibly sharp and smooth edge. The bevel is so tiny, I have a hard time seeing it, but I know it's there because I am BBS with little effort. This soft soap really lathers up easily; however, I prefer tallow based hard soaps, why, I dont' know. I do enjoy the orange scent while shaving, in fact it got me hungry for lunch. Have a great Wednesday!

Nothing too exciting...I'm in a comfortable rut.

I have some nice razors that I like a lot, but I seem to be stuck on one lately. It works great, and since I re-honed it, I'm very very happy with it.

I enjoy seeing the wonderful variety some of you guys post up and would sort of like to have a big collection (actually having a dozen shave ready razors that I don't use is a big collection if you ask me), but truth is, I'm so happy with one that I see little reason to pursue more...at the moment

I'd love to share a photo, but tapatalk has not been cooperative with this forum for me in recent weeks.

It's a sweet custom Spanish point with large scale file work on the spine and jimping top and bottom. 15/16 is a nice size...I suppose I could love a bigger blade, but this one works pretty well for me.

    Sorry no photos...

    Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Razor: 6/8 Wheatley Brothers Wheat Sheaf Round
Hones: Norton 1K, 4K/8K, Zulu Grey
Strop: N/A - shaved straight off stone
    Brush: Whippeddog Silvertip
    Soap: Razorock XXX
Scuttle: Robert Baker 002 in Lava Slate
    Shave: 2 passes, WTG/XTG
    Astringent: Thayer's
    A/S: Ogallala Bay Rum
Reading Material: Mid-19th Century edition of Thomas Johnes' 1805 translation of Froissart's Chronicles.

As I had hoped, trip #3 to the hones with my newly-arrived Wheatley was well worth the effort. Added a second layer of tape, reset the bevel and worked up through to my Zulu Grey. The result was a fantastic shave.
I love it when everything comes together on a tricky blade.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Amen! But it seems to go against the grain around here. It seems like everyone rotates through a huge bundle of sexy blades.

I have found that parsimony leads to superior outcomes

That said...no offense to anyone, if you love rotating, enjoy yourself.

I think new guys should probably limit variables before trying a rotation of non-identical razors.
