    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Razor - W&B "Extra Hollow Ground" pre 1891 11/16 shoulderless spike point/stropped night previous
    Brush - Omega 10066 boar
Soap - DR Harris "Arlington"/cold water face lathered
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Nice little rescued blade paired with a modern set of rescued scales but the mutt she shaves well. The cheap little Omega lather monster continues to impress too. Great start hope yours is/was too.

    Tuesday 2/26/13

    Razor: 5/8 F.W. Engels Special
    Strop: Scrupleworks Horween/Linen 30/30
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush: R.A. Rooney 2XL "Jade"
    Astringent: Thayers Lavender
    AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The razor is new to me. Was a NOS find, and I had it shave ready in no time. Shave was great, but I think I can squeeze a little more out of it. I learned this morning that a quality, well honed 5/8 will shave just as good as any of them. I'll not underestimate a 5/8 again.

    Good Shaves to you Gents!

    * Tom, no, my friend has very sensitive skin and a few molds that are irritating him with his other razors. Nothing serious and thanks for your concern.
It is not the best razor i have tried. Hee hee.
