Thanked: 1263Last Nights Shave
Ali's Custom Damascus 9/8 / Omega Boar / Penhaligons Endymion / Alum Bloc / Hawleywoods No. 9
Seems I have caught the flu this weekend, so even though I'm not feeling so great this shave was a fantastic way to lift my spirits.
Have a Great week Gents!

no prep
Razor: 5/8ths Imperial
Soap: NOS Williams
Mug: Monkey pod
Brush: re-knotted "Rubberset" 24mm
Aftershock: none
Splash:Bay Rum
The Day: Slightly overcast and to be about 4ºC. The Shave: Another ”American Eagle” razor from the shop. Imperial makes good goods. Add Dryad scales from a broken razor; hone and enjoy...repeat, hone and enjoy.. The brush is a generic black badger re-knot..Scritchy but mellowing. One shave forum has wood as the focus this week so added the tub of William’s and the monkey pod shave bowl. Both do work well! Two passes and I added a home made Bay Rum to finish the shave.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

Prep: Hot shower, Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil
Cream: Acqua di Parma
Brush: Crowley & Tosh Silvertip Badger
Razor: Dovo 1/2 Hollow 5/8 Best Quality (Black)
Tighten-up: Alum block
A/S: Acqua di Parma Aftershave Balm
Result: Perfectly acceptable two pass shave. I hadn't shaved since Friday Morning, so stubble was heavy. I had to fuss a a bit around the chin, making about the equivilent of an entire additional WTG pass there. I might need to do some honing to refresh the edge.
Cheers,
Jack
