May your week bring success and great shaves!
Hot shower prep
Razor: James Codfer 8/8ths near wedge ~1860
Soap: RazorRock original
Mug: Soup Cup
Brush: Generic badger
Aftershock: Alum block
Splash: Bay Rum
The Day: Bright and cheering -4ºC to 4ºC. The Shave: Close and clean in two and a touch up. The Old steel retains an edge well and only 60 on leather was needed.
The RazoRock gives a great and smooth lather. Home made Bay Rum was the finishing touch!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!
~Richard
PS. Some folks call these “Depression Razors” or “Hobo Razors” Whatever the case; the previous owners cared for the blade as best as they could. Harness washers and copper burrs (rivets) any handy wood, and bailing wire were common fixes.

Prep: Shower
Brush: Semogue Boar OC Cherry
Soap: Martin de Candre (scented)
Razor: Dumas 5/8" near wedge
Astringent: Osma Alum
Balm: Martin de Candre Camomile Oil
Eau de Toilette: Woods of Windsor
Notes: Quick and hurried. Just a shave test of a cleaned up freebie. Not keen enough - needs tweaking.
