Mint Julip Masque, Lukewarm Shower, C.V. Heljestrand Mk4, VDH Boar, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Coconut Lotion, Clubman Bay Rum

OK, so I went just a little metro on this one but I'm secure enough in my manhood to do so, especially for the Sunday shave. The Mint Julip Masque was a nice pre-shave (No, I didn't have cucumber slices on my eyes). The coconut lotion smelled nice too and as not to feel a complete sissy I rounded it out with the manly sting of Clubman Bay Rum.

Vanity mirror really helps to see growth patterns. Great shave! I walked into Chipotle with a swagger, ordering my burrito as if I had BAD MOTHER F'R inscribed on my wallet.

    SUNDAY
May you all have a week of successes and health!
    Hot shower prep
    Razor: Home ground Herder Blank
Soap: Green Mountain Scentless Shave soap
    Mug: Vintage USA
    Brush: Generic badger
    Aftershock: none
    Splash: Home made Bay Rum

The Day? Spring is here and rain is a part of it. The Shave? After a week of sneezing and coughing it is nice to use a straight again and the shave was without fear or pain. The old blade is getting sharper as any good blade will do from multiple uses after honing. I am happy to report that the soap and I are now best of friends!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!
    ~Richard
Informational: Green Mountain Shave Soap final:
After a week of use I found that for my face:
    1. The facial warmth of the first days was getting my face properly hydrated.
    2. The next thing was to learn how to lather the soap.
    3. A Sour Cream lather is best for lubricity on my face. My best results were with a lather bowl.
    4. The hard part was accepting that something was this good!
I would call this a very pleasant to use, easy lathering, high quality personal shaving soap. My face is in a lot better condition than when I began the trial. There is resilience to it and it now has moisture and color. The soap and its effects on my skin allows “dry passes” after the lather appears to have been shaved off to get those last bits of bristle. The soap had no adverse effects on me and my sneezing is a direct result of spring in the Midwest!
I received the soaps as no cost samples to try them out. I tried it with different shave equipment. I am trying the no scent one to assure my nose is not leading me in a wrong direction. The soaps are made in the USA. Today...the soap has fulfilled its promise!

    Pfries,
The soap that you used, was it the Williams Mug soap puck in the blue & white box, the inexpensive soap?
    Do you use it often?
    Do you like it?

    ********A Horrible Shave**********
I wanted to try the Williams again after 2 years; took out a fresh puck, made some beautiful looking lather, horrible shave. Maybe I'm just spoiled by TOBS.

    Thanks for looking,

    That is the one,

it is available locally, tallow and glycerin based, clean scent.

once you learn to lather it, it is a perfectly serviceable soap and a lot of times I Uber it up.

I always have a few pucks on hand and it still finds its way into my rotation.

Would I call it wonderful? No, but it protects well, gives good lubrication, moisturizes, and I like the clean scent.
    It is just Whisker Whacking
    Relax and Enjoy!

Well, drop an address in a PM & I will send you my stash of Williams I bought last year.
I have no intention of ever using it again, no sense in letting it sit forever.
You'll have enough for a few years.

    Is it worth the postage?

I don't care about the postage, if you want it, I'll send it, if not I'm going to send it to the first person who will use it, no matter where they are.
