Hot water prep
John Creswick razor - Cyril Salter travel badger brush - La Toja sc - cold water splash - L'Oreal asb - TOBS Eton College EdT
Still in Belgorod, but more time tonight, so allowed for a real shave. The Creswick is acting up a bit and we shall re-visit the hones with this one. Tuggish...
On a walk at lunch we came across this awesome little church. On the entrance side it has the ten commandments set in stone.
Then we walked on to a bridge. I noticed all kinds of hanging locks on the bridge and asked my colleagues what this meant. Apparently, married couples come to this bridge and with a lock they "seal their marriage" and throw the key in the water. I liked that statement.
You Swedish guys: have a great National day tomorrow!
@vvold: Thanks for that. I don't think there will be time. I'm flying out Friday morning early. Thanks for the gesture though.Last edited by sashimi; 06-05-2013 at 07:08 PM. Reason: Additions

Thanked: 485I know just how you feel, Rick, I know just how you feel. What about you and I have a beer or two together and bitch about it all for a few hours?

Here's betting Mikael posts a WHOLE bunch of photos of very nice Swedish ladies draped in a flag and not much else...Last edited by carlmaloschneider; 06-05-2013 at 10:03 PM.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Evening Shave
Some boar brush
Cella
Spanish Point Boker (1056?)
Grey Flannel
Another Ebay find, the Boker. I'm very pleased with this blade. Needs polishing and wouldn't hurt with a new set of scales, but my honing experiment over the weekend produced a really nice edge, a considerable upgrade from strop and shave right out of the mailbox. Excellent shave
I have an extremely unpleasant HR task to perform at work on Friday, and I'm finding the meditative tasks of this hobby to be just right for calming the nerves and easing the stress.

Strop - Jemico
Prep - Hot water + shave towel
Pre-Shave - Musgo Real Glyce
Brush - Vulfix bristle
Soap - Palmolive
Mug - Grandpa's mug
Razor - Hanafuda Kamisori
Post - Thayers + Nivea balm
This is my first kamisori, so I was excited for this shave. This razor had a chip near the point that I took out and the usual surface rust and corrosion. The razor feels really nice in my hand and the working angle is very intuitive. The shave was a little tuggy but there was no irritation. I think it is due to me being in a hurry to get it done for today's shave, as well as my water stones being in need of flattening. Still, a very nice experience and the only problem now is that I want to collect more of them Keep the pictures coming, and enjoy the rest of the week, everyone.
