Guessing the top cap has a threaded rod and the bottom of the handle twists to lock it down.
That gillette looks like a rocket since it doesn't have the twisted knurled handle. Still a nice set you have. It's just Sharpening, right?

Okay, I'll play. Only one I have besides a Walmart Van DER Hagen.
A Gillette adjustable. My Dad had a couple but I don't know what happened to them. I would have loved to have his as heirlooms but you can see behind it to the right his old Hazel Atlas milk glass mug and I have his straight (J.A. Henckels 401) among some other heirlooms. I posted a thread about heirlooms a while back. Might need to bump that one a bit.
Anyway, this adjustable is a G4 date code.
I got it off of that little auction site and it cleaned up rather nicely. I use it mainly when I need to hurry but it served me quite well when I split my finger a few years ago also.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Honestly I have only ever used what's available at the drug store in it. That's a rabbit hole I've never fallen down, not for any reason except that I just never did.
Edit: However, I do really like it. The adjustability is nice. It's amazing how much difference it makes in the shave.Last edited by PaulFLUS; 12-24-2022 at 02:51 AM.

1947 Milord.
As far as I know, they only came in Gold. They look very much like the 1940s/Original Super Speed but the flat area on the top of the handle just above the knurling makes it a Milord. The Aristocrat Junior also has this flat area above the knurling. This is another Gillette without the date codes and before the notched center bar.

Thanked: 14That is a great looking M'Lord! Most of the ones I've come across have the loss of plating common to most of Gillette's "gold".
The flat above the knurling I believe was in common with the earlier Superspeeds, and it changed on later versions on both nickel & gold versions, looking at Mr. Razor's pictures (see eg., https://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/On...20Speedpak.JPG

I had a decusion about that picture on a different site. The exact picture was used to show the Aristicrat junior. So one of them are wrong. The best conclusion we were able to make was the super speeds didnt have the flat. But no actu proof. Just opinions.
Yes, I got lucky on finding this one with 95% of the gold intact. Thanks. It's just Sharpening, right?

I just saw a Rose Gold Razor as a SOTD so it made me want to post a pic of mine. I love the color Rose Gold.
Mine is a Baili Rose Gold 3-piece DE Razor. It shaves very mildly but holds the blade just as it should. I find this is an issue with some of the low-cost razors. Not made with much accuracy, but this one is a real winner. I do enjoy shaving with it when it comes around in my rotation.
This is an old SOTD pic. Funny, I still have the same tub of soap. It's just Sharpening, right?
