Thanked: 20Several months ago I picked up a Feather Artist Club DX for travel. After using it for ten days, it became my daily shaver. The short blade is an asset - makes it very easy to maneuver. I find that the first two or three shaves on a new blade require some care to prevent shaving too closely. I easily get ten to fifteen shaves from a blade.

My experience is very much the same as Rick's. I also like the 2 inch cutting edge which is very maneuverable and the whole design of the razor is very ergonomic. Great feel and comfort in the hand.
I never thought I would like a disposable blade razor, as you could tell from some of my previous posts, but the Feather AC DX is an absolute pleasure to use and the build quality is superb, as is the shave. The only thing wrong with it, for me, is I don't get to hone and strop it. Other than that this razor will please the most demanding shaver, IMO!!

Yes, it is yours. I am curious about how many kinds there were and how the blades were maintained.

I'm 3 full shaves (plus a few 1 pass shaves) in w my feather SS non-folding & I really like it. It & the super pro blades are very forgiving & seem to hold up pretty well. Should be great for travel. I really enjoy using it, but it's not going to ever totally replace my regular straights as I enjoy honing/stropping way too much--I'm the type that will strop between passes whether it needs it or not just because I like to strop!--but for travel/quick shaves it's pretty hard to beat!

Thanked: 1184There are a few cool looking razors in here that would look great in a collection and I can understand the sanitary thing for those who use them on others. Or as stated the travel thing. Buy 1 in every town and maybe turn somebody into a straight user on the way out. Great for new users to taste the wet shaving world with. I have one but for the life of me I can not get a good shave out of it. Maybe my technique.
Surely you must realize by now it's my job/duty to inject humor around here.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Its all about the prep. Good prep, good shave. I prep mine by removing the old paint and goo before using
