Good duty Colonel, most troops would kill to be stationed in Washington Military District.
From there I did a tour of occupation duty in Germany. That meant occupation tours for both Japan and Germany and a year of trigger time in Korea. Of course you heard of the 2nd Lt. that got lost in the pentagon, and when he final found his way out he was a General. Thank you for your service, Colonel.

And you Sir have bracketed your time in uniform in such a way that when I say 'thank you for your service' I do so with the understanding that today's soldier enjoys the reputation he has largely because of the foundation set by men such as yourself.
Interestingly, I served in Uijongbu, Korea (88-89), Okinawa, Japan (2001-2003) and Bamberg, Germany (05-07).Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

What does that have to do with shaving? Am I missing something?
I had 2 different reactions lately, of course the "tired of your life"-idea from my brother-in-law and surprisingly my brother said that he would understand using a straight over a DE, he tried a DE once and ended up with some cuts. I tried to convince him it has to do with technique, but he doesn't seem to want to leave his cassette razor and foam goo from a can....Sometimes I feel normal.
Then it's time to lay down and wait for it to pass.

Although i'm not in US military but having 25+ years of service behind in the army and navy in Finland. We have no restrictions on carrying/possesing knives of any kind. Or if there are such restrictions, i've never heard about them. SR's are history these days, even i'm too lazy to carry SR and strop with me at work. Using DE instead. But almost anyone i know carries knife.

Thanked: 8Well I first started shaving with an electric razor in my teens, I hated it the second that thing touched my skin. lol My dad was not around a lot of my life (and when he was you'd wish he wasn't) so he never taught me how to shave. Then got into wet shaving and have always had razor bumps and no matter how many damn carts or how light or hard I pressed it couldn't get everything, still had patches that the cart couldn't shave. I started the end of last year and love it. I'm 32 now and I'm SO glad I didn't start earlier in my life when my dad was around he would probably try to scare me or bump me to make me cut myself (no joke) but my kids seem really interested in it. Every time I start to shave my kids yell to whoever isn't there "Daddy's using his shaver!" then boom! all the sudden 3 kids are staring at me with rapt attention. (Why can't they act like that when I'm telling them to do or stop doing something?) I love to lather up my son' face, watching him squirm and giggle cracks me up he's 5. My wife is supportive and so is my mom and kids of course, other than that I don't care. lol
