If you prefer the shower what do you use to wash your face and why do you use it?

Shower and Towel definitely! After the shower, put on Pre-Shave Oil, strop the razor THEN a HOT Towel, that is sitting in a bowl of HOT water. After that, I lather up and it's like a hot knife through butter. Without the towel, it just seems like it takes an extra pass, or maybe a little buffing action.

BOTH... Need I say More? OK I will.

The hot shower and a Hot Towel wrap go great together.

Shower is all you ever need. I also don't think you need preshave oil either. Just my 2cents

I give my face and neck a good scratch while it is still lathered and after a further lathering, shave. This seems to waken up the beard for shaving.I do this after the hot towel.

Am I the only one who shaves w/ glasses on? My glasses do not like the hot and humid bathroom after a hot shower and I do not like blind shaving.

hmmm... just wondering ... I use barbasol on the bathroom mirror to keep it from fogging up (I take a paper towel and smear the cream all over the mirror - then wipe/buff until clear... works like a charm )

    - but maybe a similar treatment on glasses would keep them from fogging ... worth a try?

I keep meaning to try it with glasses on, I just assumed they'd be more trouble than they're worth.

If I try it now I'll probably hack my face off as they affect your depth perception a bit.

I tried to shave with my glasses on and the oversize lenses got in the way of the razor. I do it sans glasses since then. For my eyes it is doable without the cheaters. I guess it depends on the individual's vision whether it is possible without them.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Shower, then lather right away... shave then follow with an ice cold towel. The hot towel doesn't do that much for me unless I really take a long time. If I do the towel, it's usually while soaking in a tub.

I really love the ice cold towel to finish though, then maybe a dash of witch hazel or AS.
