But at least you guys got to be all that you can be Actually shaving's one of the reasons I never joined the army even though I could start off as a 2nd leftenant right out of training. Some of the other reasons are our british helicopters that crash on a weekly basis, british subs that catch electrical fires and canadian ax-handles used in guarding the airport in skopje from albanian insurgents lol.

The SECOND worse shave I ever had was when I was in high school in the '60's. It was with my dad's old electric razor that he only used when he ran out of DE blades. Don't know the brand, but it was big, square and LOUD. Terrible razor burn. THE WORST shave I ever had was in 1976 while on tour w/ the National Shakespeare Co.; I was wearing a full beard and decided that the neck hair was just too nasty looking. I hadn't even brought a razor with me on the road, but I did have a new Swiss Army knife! I used the little blade as it was very sharp; but not sharp enough! Got about half way through it and gave up. Later found a Gillette Tech 3 piece razor at a little drug store in the town & happily used it for several years before losing the top piece down a sink w/ out a drain guard. I still carry that Swiss Army knife on a daily basis, BTW.

my WORST shave ever was a couple weeks ago when I tried to use a straight razor for the first time. How one can remove about 14 layers of your skin off your cheek and chin without plucking a single hair ceases to amaze me.
...things are going much better now. Now parts of my face are getting the best shave ever and others are just passable.

Dude it looks like your blades need more work on the hone. Just be patient, it can take a while for your first blades, until you get the hang of it.

Thanked: 0Worst shave, well atm its a cross between my first straight shave 6 months ago (left me with a cool scar on my cheek), the hungover shave i did 3 months ago (not so cool scar on my chin) and the shave i did yesterday after honing....against the grain on my upper lip left very little of my upper lip intact. Went back to the hone today and have achieved a much more acceptable edge on my Puma, sadly i doubt ill be testing its effectiveness for a few days (or until i can get the skin graft).
There was the time before my str8 tho that i used my FX performer with a really dull blade to dry shave off 4 days of growth (i had no foam, no new blades, no money after the rent and a shift in 30 minutes). I think that was the last time i ever cried, everything else pales in comparison.

the worst shave
the worst shave I ever had was when I went into horse piddle for minor surgery so I decided to get snipped while I was there
I dont need to go into details but lets say I was given a yellow bic dis with no soap ,I was told to shave in the shower, when I was finished I was loosing quite a bit of blood from around my unmentionables and including my unmentionables.
It is an experience I would rather forget ,and thats all I will say on the matter
Kind regards Peter
