Perseverence yes, fortitude no...i cried like a girl as i ripped the hair from my face. And i have hair, lots of it, everywhere, like a wolf.

Definitely the Norelco 3 Header. It irritates the skin as well.

I've tried every razor out there in my younger days and all of them are pitiful. I suffered years of skin irritation from every one of the so-called 'safety' razors trying to pass Marine Corps Personnel Inspections. Finally in 1968, a Gunney took pity on me one day and convinced me that real men shave with straight razors. He gave me a Torrey that belonged to his grandfather (also a Marine) and was made in 1903. I still use it to this day, and when I'm gone, my oldest son will have it. I haven't had a single skin irritation since, and always have a perfect shave that will pass anybody's inspection.

Once again, thank you, Gny Reynolds!

Over the years I have tried all types of electric shavers, they are all bad news. I have had such bad razor burn I thought I did damage to my face! After that the worst were the 1 blade disposable Bic razors.

    Elija,
Why d'you gotta insult Fred and Marty like that? Those Navy squids don't want to be associated with the ARMY's motto....blasphemer!

I don't have a worst shave that hasn't already been mentioned, but I do remember when my mother got an Epilady for Christmas. If you've never seen one, it's basically a tight coil that spins and literally grabs hair as you drag is across your face/legs/pits/whatever and rips it out by the roots! My grandmother was brave enough to try it on her upper lip and thought she was being tortured. My mother NEVER used it!

Yeah, we'll include the Marines. They try to deny it, but they are considered a Naval Service. Remember to include gfoster, too.

You shouldn't have been pressing too hard, then. You're shaving your face, not sanding it.
