As if that would help. My worst razor burn came from the Shick Protector. One of the reasons I went electric for a decade. Actually electrics gave me more comfortable shaves than disposables, but I'm contemplating getting one out of morbid curiosity lol.

Comfort-wise I didn't have any serious issues with either Philips or Braun systems and I've got sensitive skin. However the performance was on the par with a day-old straight shave and it wasn't a pleasure by any means.

I could never handle the incessant tugging of electrics and no shave as a result because my beard was so fine. I still have to scratch my head in wonder at guys who use them including a very close friend who says his wterproof which he uses int he shower is the best thing he's ever used. Can I get him to TRY a straight? nope.

To prevent tugging, you start off the same as going straight:
    1) With the grain
    2) Cross
    3) Against
    and finish it with:
    4) Several passes of circular.
Stretching the skin helps. Once it's all said and done you get the same level of closeness as a day-old SE shave.
