Every shave I did with my old Wahl electric was the worst. As was every one with the Panasonic after that. Even when I screw up with the straight it doesn't hurt that badly. Why I did that for years, I'll never know.

When I was a police officer I made the mistake of turning up to work without shaving. The Sarg marched me into the cell block and made me shave there and then with a disposable prisoners razors ( realy blunt cheapo disposables that the crims cant pull apart and hurst themselves or us with)

I was allowed 2 minutes and cold water, no soap. Looked like I went thru the windscreen of a car.

    Always shaved after that

Worst shave champion: Mach III for sure. Once I managed to get like 17 cuts, large burn areas, and bumps after a couple of days... uggh

Norelco Advantage and Panasonic Wet / Dry were NOT that bad, I used them for years and my skin was adjusted to them but I still had problems with my neck area...

Over the years I have tried several different electric shavers. Remington, Norelco, Braun...doesn't matter. All shave terribly and burn the face up!

    Default When I was younger...

    Worst shave ever:
I had to go to a schoolfest and I had e date with a pretty girl (in fact there were two girls, one had to be certain... ). I was about 15 yrs old and I took a hot shower and decided to shave with the Gillette my father had given to me. It was the first model with two blades, don't know the name anymore.
Anyway, I shaved my face, got a little razorburn from lack of experience and decided to give it another pass...WITHOUT LATHERING AGAIN ....!

I managed to give every pore on my upper lip a cut. After alum and cold water, my upperlip seemed to have grown a moustache within 10 minutes.
The girls at school said "do you have a moustache? Looks great on you" That was the day I decided to grow a real moustache, never to shave off. Until som 6 yrs ago, another pretty one said, you must look younger without your moustache. It has been gone since then.

Second worst: all the electric shavers I have used in the past 25 yrs or so, be it a Braun or Philips. Without a good pre-electric shave-lotion, it feels like I havn't shaved at all. (Not to mention the razorbrn)

Third worse: the first shave with a SE about 10 yrs ago, I managed to dig the entire lenght of the blade into my left cheek. Clean cut, clean heal, no scar...

Pinda - you are a top contender in this race! The first and third stories made me cringe

I think there are people here who would beg to disagree with your opinion. Of course, this is a straight razor forum, so we probably have a bias.

As for my worst shave - well, I've butchered myself on a few occasions. Ironically, usually much worse with a disposable than with one of my straight razors (which I find give you a single clean, if sometimes deep, cut). I was using a disposable 3-blade and somehow caught a bit of skin, and was bled through about three bandages despite the styptic. I thought it was going to need stitches.

But I went to a barber shop in Ireland where I got the worst shave someone /else/ has ever given me. It was supposed to be a hot towel shave. It was more of a chilled towel shave, with some cold lather, and a half-dull razor. It took all of two minutes. Bah. What a waste of money. Oh, yeah, and he cut me, too.

    Default Strange cut

Thanks Ivo. Someday I will collect all of my stories and combine them into a horrornovel...

Makes me think of another strange worst shave. The first time I used a 3-blade (don't know exactly if it was a Wilkinson or a Gillette) it gave me a 3-blade cut.
Exactly 3 cuts paralel to one another. After that Wilkinson had to put their blades behind bars...
