It was age 25 for me, my first setup was my first Father's Day gift; needless to say, that was an interesting year. If I ever have a son, I'll start him on the straight right off, I don't want him to have the same crappy 12 years of shaves that I did.

I would have never thought so many young guys like myself were members here. I'm 22 and I really hope I can carry on the tradition and maybe learn to become a honemeister some day. Much work needed.

Thanked: 9started shaving with a straight at 27, about 8-9 months ago? Family and friends kept telling me it would be hard and I'd cut myself... I guess they just don't have an affinity for sharp things like I do I still haven't bought an alum block or stiptic pencil.
