Reading some of the posts from a year and a half ago, I recently started shaving while my 6 year old has a bath, she asked a lot of similar questions to micks daughter, and I didn't feel guilty about the time taken as we were both relaxing together.
And I think Simon and garfunkle would be great to shave to.
I used to have music on sudays and it was generally morose and or introspective. Ie Leonard Cohen or the flaming lips.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

I shave with the opening sequence of Saving Private Ryan turned up to 11 in the background. It makes all of the bloody body parts I hack off during a typical shave seem more appropriate.

Thanked: 2Ryan82 posted elsewhere - I shave to the sound of my razor passing over my skin. For me, it really is a zen moment when I try to silence the voices and distractions, and concentrate on NOW.

I too have a few playlists. I would say 75% of the time I have with music... The rest of the time I like to enjoy the rhythm if popping whiskers.

Oh, let's see:
The parrot whistling and singing, the wife nagging, the dog barking, the telly on some dumb sit-com, the kids running and screaming...
Other than that, I tend to prefer silenceBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

You have a parrot...that is so cool...I find birds fascinating...my wife is for some reason terrified of them. We used to have this great big Horned Owl that would sit at the top of one of the trees in our backyard....beautiful creature.
I still chuckle when I see the old video of the parrot who would whistle, "Always look on the Bright Side of Life" (from Monty Python), in accompaniment with his owner...don't parrots live an incredibly long time?
Cheers!
