Wasn't a razor... But a coping saw cutting out a pair of scales. Swmbo laughed and said "and you want power tools?"

Thanked: 0I really like this thread, I cannot wait untill I have something to contribute!...
This is nick was not done on a razor but it is shaving related..sortof.. I was sharpening an axe for my father and I wanted to be able to shave with it afterwards, I wouldn't shave my face with it but it can shave the hair of your arms and legs without any problems. The nick wasn't that deep but it did bleed for some time. Sorry about the unfocused picture, I was feeling faint from the blood loss.

Thanked: 12You guys ever have just one of THOSE shaves?
Well, today was that day for me... I felt like my razor was out to get me or something... I was working on some nice smooth scything motions today when all of the sudden the blade grabbed and.... wham! first big cut on the side of my chine... cleaned it up a little, and then, not even 30 seconds later was doing an XTG on my upper lip and... wham! second good cut right under my nose...
At this point the lather was turning pink faster than I could shave it off. I just said, "Screw it!" and threw in the towel. I got some GREAT feedback from my styptic. Moved on to cleaning my blade with some rubbing alcohol and tp and... wham! third cut right on the tip of my finger Needless to say it was not my best outing but, hey, everybody's had those days right!?

Thanked: 22As i wrote earlier: as soon i get more confident with my razors, i'm sure i'll join this club.
Here is my first cut. It happened on the middle of my first pass (i only do one pass). Clean the face, take a picture, stop the bleding, lather again the areas i wasn't finished and finish the shave. (more careful then ever )
The razor was a Revisor 6/8 round point.
Are you stressed???!!! Get out and go fishing!!!
