Once while traveling, I took a multi-blade disposable so I wouldn't have to worry about leaving a razor behind and such. The first morning I shaved with the disposable, I used my usual cream (the same I use for SR shaving) along with my brush and I realized that I shave terrible with a disposable. So now when I travel, I'll take my DE and it's still not quite as good as my SR, but better than the disposable.

Thanked: 44I haven't shaved with anything but a straight razor in about 2 years. Don't own any other kind of razors, no DE's, no disposables, no electric. Well that's not true - I have an electric for body hair haha

I have a question? I see in some posts that I read that when someone travels they don't take their straight..Why is that ? Could it be a time issue ?

Thanked: 983Usually an airport pain in the backside, especially when only taking carry on luggage, and the risk of losing it to not so honest baggage handlers when taking checked luggage.

That makes that clear, I don't fly anymore because of so much steel in me..sets off their alarms and I refuse to be stripped.. And I don't even know what's permissible anymore. Thank you for taking time Mick and sharing...

Shaving with a straight razor is addictive. I rarely use a DE, but I always keep one loaded up and handy for those occasional days when I oversleep.
