I don't count them. That way when my wife asks the same question, I can still shrug my shoulders and say "I don't know Honey, a few".

I'm going to use your idea of moving razors from unused to used cup. I have 90 some straights, maybe 50 or more DEs, 30 or 40 SEs. I have razors in plastic cabinets, jewelry chests, on display boards and in mugs. I like using 2 straights in one shave and may use a Merkur slant DE or Futur DE or Paul Revere Schick injector for touch up in troublesome areas. I jump from wedges to 1/4 and half hollow to full and extra hollows on a whim each day. I'll try and make it more methodical and move from one cup to another.

Gentlemen:
I have trimmed my modest collection to 15 straight razors, all shave ready, and 12 double edge razors in various brands and models. I don't have a set rotation for either type of razor or model, and switch back and forth depending on my mood.

Thanked: 2A couple of Thiers Issard (6/8 hollow, 7/8 half hollow), a full hollow 6/8 Le Grelot and a Wacker hollow 5/8 plus a couple of Merkur slants (long & short) and a Muhle r41. The DEs are mostly for when I travel and time may be a premium.

Thanked: 2I have 7 straights, one for each day of the week. I own more but use the seven only, the others are on display at my barber shop. If I buy one I like better than one in rotation I just send it to the display and replace it with the new one.
