Me too Brooksie, I'm about to scratch my face off....
On the up side though, the itch usually only lasts for 2 weeks!
Pics of my beard coming soon. Hopefully tonight.Through the mud and the blood, to the green fields beyond.

Here we go,
Day 9 and I can't stop itching.
Oh yeah, you'll also notice that my eye is red.....Good reminder to wear safety glasses, even if you're just buffing blades!!!
I'll certainly be videoing my shave session, complete with running commentary and terrible banter...

Before I started shaving with a straight razor I attempted growing a beard for the first time. I had just been laid off (like always in the fall) and was ready to take a month or 2 to myself having worked like a dog all spring/summer. I let it go 1 month, then came Movember, I let it go for that month too. This is what I ended up with...
Just pathetic. Not to mention there was still a bald spot right underneath my chin...
A few days into Dec. I had my first straight shave, few days later I got my own set in and haven't looked back.
Best of luck with your beard! Grow one for the both of us!

Hi guys, Congrats on the Beard growth! they both look like they'll be pretty good by months end! I can't wait to see the video! I have had a beard of one sort or another my entire adult life, I wanted to comment on "The Itch" the thing about it is it's usually caused by the same thing that makes your head itch if you go a day or two without washing yer hair... this being said the solution is simple... use yer shampoo and conditioner on the beard!! I think you'll find it works wonders on curing that 'itchy little problem. it does for me! Good luck to both of you and may the best beard win!!!!

Day 14, The itch is starting t subside....I have entered the 'Crazy looking guy in the woods" stage.
That's my personal favorite, and shall remain the prevalent look for the remainder of this experience.
