    Yes, I have astra blades too, but i thought i would try the Feather as they came with the razor

    Those are good blades but I find that they need one shave to mellow down a bit. I get the best shaves from a Feather on the second to fourth uses.

    So much like a freshly honed straight then.
    I had heard that the Feather blades were quite sharp, i will have to try it with an astra, i have used them before in a different razor.

    tedh75, I ordered the G12 and let my wife have final say on the color, hamada & blue. It's good to hear you favorable opinion of the GP scuttle.
