My first one so nothing to compare it to either way.
    Cheers.

Mike, I was about to have a heart attack & thought you scored another awesome Escher for a steal!

I hope I can do it justice Wayne, thanks for the vote of confidance.
And no more Escher's for me Steve
Turned off the ebay search even, lest I be tempted..
This 'almost' monster chopper is shy of an 1" but will hopefully shine up and do me proud. Probably why it was still available.
I am cursed when it comes to +1" blades it seems. Either I buy them with unknown hairline cracks or drop them while restoring and make my own.
Maybe it's the good lord's way of keeping me to a size more appropriate to my 5'10" frame..
    hahaha.

I believe that I just purchased the last travel strop on Neil Miller's website. As a new straight razor enthusiast, I'm very honored to have it.

As soon as I saw it I hit the buy button. It's not the cheapest or cleanest that seller had, but I've wanted that etch for a while now and this one's in good shape.
