    T. Noonan & Co., Boston - made in Germany

Got it in the mail yesterday. The edge looked pretty good so I stropped it with Crox, clean fabric, and then leather and I polished the scales and the metal ends just for grins. Gave it a test shave today and it is not bad. Not quite as good as my Lynn honed Dovo, but acceptable for now. I ordered a 4k/8k stone and I'll have a go at honing it. Overall I am really happy about this razor. It is a 6/8 and feels just a bit heavier than my 5/8 Dovo and I like the little bit more heft. I'm chuffed especially considering that it didn't cost much at all. If I screw up the honing I can send it out and still feel OK with the overall cost (if I don't factor in the cost of the 4k/8k stones, that is).

Wondering how I did from what you guys can see in the pics. Any thoughts on who to send for honing/restoration?

    Thanks for any feedback.

Just ordered some local artisan soaps.

RVT "The Cabin" - combination of Juniperberry, Cedarwood, and peppermint
RVT "Dark Lime - combination of Lime with a hint of black pepper
Wild Mountain - Wild Dagga* and Cedar

    * In South Africa, "Dagga" is a commonly used name for Marijuana, however, the Wild Dagga (Leonotis leonorus) is a completely different plant to the narcotic Cannabis. Wild Dagga is well known for it's soothing skin care properties.

So no, I won't be getting high on the fumes of my lather.

I couldn't help it. I spotted this over at ClassicShaving. Kayser Ellison & Co 7/8 "Best Sheffield Silver Steel" Vintage Razor. They had 5 of them, shave ready. I had just somehow lost my Sheffield silver razor at home & it was one of my top shavers.
