Well I abandoned the auction on the M&F shaving brush, just wasn't prepared to go that high, so I found solace in a new Rooney Heritage Collection Emillion 2 Super Badger Handmade Shaving Brush - is scheduled to be here tomorrow, and will have three days of beard and a 9/8 Wade and Butcher for the test run.

Will have a Robert Williams in the mail to me at the end of the week. Just got an Otto Busch Weltmeister Rostfrei Eisgehartet /865. Sent it to Doc for some honing.

Thanked: 4206Just won a bunch of japanese straights in a tired lot.
Couple of them look interesting. Not a bad price so it was worth the chance.
Maybe the lot# scared folks off. Not complaining though..
Winters coming and I will be wanting to keep busy, hehe.
Winters dark, and full of razors..

Thanked: 4206Just added a close up, and yes I think it is a Fon phrank.
That one on the left, first pic is a "G" TOWA "T" as well, which I also have read good things about.
The Bengal may be too narrow to save, but I'm happy with the lot.
Thanks."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 0Hi everybody, I'm new to straight razor shaving, been learning "on the job" for nearly three months now. I have to say, what I first viewed as a ceremony (some quiet, gadget-free "me time") to be indulged on the weekends, has become a fairly practical method of daily shaving. I still have a hard time going nick-free on the chin, and won't be considering the "fool's pass" anytime soon. But I have built up a bit of confidence and am getting to know my face a lot better. So, I was browsing SRD and couldn't help but put in the order for a Esbjerg-Koorat 6/8"s. Just got it today and can't wait to give it a go. Thanks to everyone for their wisdom.

Picked this old shave bowl up from a seller in Ontario on eBay, and it has a puck of soap in it too! Will have to see if that soap is good to go....or not...never heard of the stuff.
