Thanked: 220What Do You Have In The Mail Right Now?
I've got a Simpson 1 Chubby brush on it's way across the border, as posted in another thread. Should be here any day now, along with a bunch of sample items.

Phrank, does the Windsor perform the same as the other Harris soaps, or are you referring to the scent? I have the Arlington soap and am planning to pick up the Windsor soap sometime.
This might seem a strange question but I have read that different soaps from the same brand sometime perform drastically different. For example, I have read numerous times that Penhaligons Blenheim Boquet it a poor performing soap while their Sartorial is praised.

The Windsor is a good hard soap, but the standard loading and it's fine, never had a problem. I find it much easier and nicer than the Marlborough, Arlington, and the Lavender, IMO of course - the Windsor stands out. Lately, I've been loading normally and into the scuttle and the soap explodes with a beautiful lather, never had a problem with it. I gave a bowl of Windsor to a friend I got into DE shaving, it was his first premium soap after using Proraso, and he loved it, no problem loading and lathering at all.
In terms of the Penhaligon's, the Sartorial is a very robust latherer, very easy, the Fern a little more work is required IMO but a stellar soap, never had a problem with it. I had heard that the Sartorial was to replace the English Fern, but they are distinct soaps and both are stellar performers, can't go wrong with either.

Thanked: 0Oof...done went and did it again...Semogue O.C. cherry handle, arko stick, aqua scented cologne and the creme, and a 35 blade sampler including the green 7 o'clocks, nacet, astra blue/green, silver blues, gillette platinums, and the gillette goals, all of that to go along with the fatboy and slim that I had ordered for my next hometime. It is a good thing that I originally had an order twice the size and whittled it down right, maybe there is hope?

Placed a bid and forgot..turns out it was the only bid, so I'm now the proud owner of a Lipshaw Strop - which looks like a block of wood with two different types of material nailed to it....gaah!
