From all I read, it's the "better bevel setter" Will keep my king for the kitchen cutlery. Although all this chat about mdc has me tempted.. Ultrasound, how's it compare to the SV 70th? I have that one and love it.
The 70th is amazing in smell and glide. MDC is hard to beat. Its close. MDC lasts forever, if you like lavender or fourgere then you wont be disappointed. I dont know how two vegan soaps are able to get such a tallowish fullness. Ask Andrew for a sample of his MDC. I have to mail his care package Monday. SV 70th. Mike you have good taste in soaps and razors. I can recommend MDC similar to how you can recommend SV 70th. you wont be sorry.

Save some whiskers for the next meet Mike, and I'll bring my MDC for you to use.

Jonathan, I put some samples in your care package. TOBS shaving shop, Catie's Bubbles Le piment de la vie, Musgo real original, and D.R Harris Windsor. Hope you don't have any of these.

Will do, re the whiskers. Always making more these days, hehe. In places I didn't used to even!!
Thanks for the feedback on the mdc, not really a lavender fan, but do like a good fourgere.

Tom, I will report back on the difference in the chosera over the king. The king been my setter ever since I started, so I look forward to a more aggressive abrasion on my bevel set.
Have a ti I have never been happy with that will be the first test.
And yes, in 15 years or so I may advertise as being a capable honer for others so I figure buy the brick now, before the price goes up, lol..
    Cheers.

You guys are too kind. A Spring meet up and I will leave the Country to come visit and bring prizes. No Andrew I dont have those scents. You get to win this round because I cant be taking your care package apart adding stuff and resealing. And you know how funny they are about international mail. I just want to send some surprises to my friends up North. And then they make me list everything inside. Thats no Fun.

I use the standard, "assorted sundry items". Works every time and keeps em guessing.

I love my SV 70th. Great stuff!!! I went to the MDC website & was ready to make an order but they want a voucher number in order to make a purchase. I had to register which I did & so they might send me a voucher number come Monday I hope. Sounds like some good soap to try. I did order some Catie's Bubbles in my samples from Maggard's but I don't know if I have the Le piment de la vie. I do if they weren't out of it. I forgot to look at everything they sent me.

Steve, I also got 8 samples of Catie's Bubbles from Maggard. Wasn't very impressed with any of t ones I got, except for the Spanish Holiday, and le Vert Orange. But neither really got me hot. I believe all th popular ones wer out of stock when I ordered too.

Yeah Andrew, I just looked & the ones I really wanted to try, they were out of. No big deal. I'll get some when they have some in stock again. I did get me a Thater 30mm 2 band brush for a great deal through a vendor overseas. I must have gotten their last bulb or one of the last ones because I went back to look & all they had were fan type but I got it on New Years eve & it was a bulb. I was so happy. At first, I thought I may have made a mistake but I didn't. I have read that the 3 band doesn't have enough backbone but so far I love my 2 band thanks to my Aunt.

Just ordered some dark horn slabs and some brass cup washers from @ajkenne here.

Love his bullseye washers! They look awesome!
